Caribbean Linked III will kick off in Aruba from August 12 through 31 2015. Thanks to generous support from the Mondriaan Fund, Stichting DOEN and the Prince Claus Fund, twelve creatives from around the French, Spanish, English and Dutch Caribbean will convene to produce work and mount an exhibition at Ateliers ’89 in Aruba.
Artists include Natusha Croes (Aruba), Leasho Johnson (Jamaica), Alex Kelly (Trinidad & Tobago), Manuel Mathieu (Haïti), Jodi Minnis (The Bahamas), Simone Asia (Barbados), Ronald Cyrille, (Martinique), Aiko Roudette (St. Vincent & the Grenadines), Leo Aguirre (Aruba) and Marvi Johanna Franco Zapata (Curaçao).
The writer in residence will be Natalie McGuire (Barbados) and Diego Espinosa, (Mexico) multi-percussionist and sound artist, will offer workshops and produce a soundscape while at Ateliers ’89. Invited curators and facilitators include Christopher Cozier, Holly Bynoe, Annalee Davis and Tirzo Martha.
