Caribbean Linked III took place n Aruba from August 12 through 31 2015. Thanks to generous support from the Mondriaan Fund, Stichting DOEN and the Prince Claus Fund, twelve creatives from around the French, Spanish, English and Dutch Caribbean convened to produce work and mount an exhibition at Ateliers ’89 in Aruba.
Artists included Natusha Croes (Aruba), Leasho Johnson (Jamaica), Alex Kelly (Trinidad & Tobago), Manuel Mathieu (Haïti), Jodi Minnis (The Bahamas), Simone Asia (Barbados), Ronald Cyrille, (Martinique), Aiko Roudette (St. Vincent & the Grenadines), Leo Aguirre (Aruba) and Marvi Johanna Franco Zapata (Curaçao).
The writer in residence was Natalie McGuire (Barbados) and Diego Espinosa, (Mexico) multi-percussionist and sound artist, offered workshops and produced a soundscape while at Ateliers ’89. Invited curators and facilitators included Holly Bynoe, Annalee Davis and David Bade.
